I’d be pretty highly motivated too if a Hummer was coming at me, broadcasting a beam that was MICROWAVING THE TOP LAYER OF MY SKIN.

(I'm oversimplifying, but not by much.)

I can see how it can help disperse riots, of course. But at the same time, if you WERE a demonic infidel, isn't this just the sort of thing you'd have handy?
