Belize

I want to be where the sun warms the sky
When it's time for siesta you can watch them go by
Beautiful faces, no cares in this world
Where a girl loves a boy and a boy loves a girl

San Pedro was very pretty and picturesque and peaceful and friendly. Black Rock was the rainforest jungle - very green and surprising and sometimes a little scary.

I actually preferred Black Rock - but not because I'm some ecowarrior adventurer. Honestly, it was better because San Pedro was so phenomenally hot and humid that it was difficult to think, let alone breathe or move or actually do anything.

I could tell all kinds of stories, but sometimes that isn't too interesting when other people do it, so maybe I'll just wait until someone asks.

Suffice it to say that I saw a tarantula, had a snake in the bedroom, climbed up an 800-foot mountain, swam in a river, climbed up a Mayan ruin, flew on a 10-person Cessna, ate on the beach, had rum for breakfast... and I saw The Boy fall asleep at 11 p.m. It was indeed a vacation of many wonders.

I'll add a link to the pictures when/if he posts them on his site.
